Ashland Foundry replaced 400-watt and 100-watt halide fixtures with LED high-bay fixtures and reduced its electricity bill by $85,652 since deployment. Digital Lumens’ lighting system was able to provide the manufacturer energy savings, control with lighting schedules, double the light levels, durable LED fixtures for harsh working conditions, and a maintenance-free operation.
Alden Roberts, facilities superintendent, Ashland Foundry, says, “Due to harsh conditions, lighting has always posed a challenge in this environment, requiring frequent maintenance and replacements, which took a toll on both our financial and personal resources.” The company has increased control and flexibility significantly after the system’s integration.
